Research Interests: Understanding of various factors related to sexual perpetration or violence

I am a 5th year in the program. My primary research interest is sexual coercion. More specifically, I am interested in how people (both women and men) conceptualize their sexual coercion experiences and the implications for their affective and behavioral reactions to those experiences. I am also interested in similarities and differences in sexual coercion experiences based on factors such as gender and race. I work with Dr. Muehlenhard in what we have affectionately termed "Sex Lab." Clinically, I am particularly interested in working with children, families, and people who have experienced some form of sexual coercion.
